Vent-Free Gas Stove FAQ's, Help, and Tutorials
We carry white Mountain Hearth and Monessen Vent-Free Gas Stoves
Vent-Free Gas Stoves are Free-Standing gas-burning appliances which burn either natural gas or propane. These units have very similar features to Vented Gas Stoves and Vent-Free Gas Logs, but they do not require the piping up the wall or hole in the wall to vent. These appliances are clean burning so the exhaust, which is entering your room, is water vapor and CO2 (rather than CO, which is poisonous, and other impurities). Because of this water vapor you may notice a fogging of glass in the room in which the stove is situated, but no sooting should occur, if it does, something is wrong and you should have the unit checked. As with many heating appliances, you should have a safety check and cleaning done each year to ensure a clean burn.
