Gas Inserts can be used in a non-working wood burning fireplace or pre-fab fireplace and can provide zone heating.  These appliances can run on a thermostat or manually and are available vented or vent-free. The vented ones are AFUE rated just like your furnace and between the ceramic glass and the blower can warm an area quite nicely. The vent-free ones are behind a screen and have a blower for moving the warm air into your room. We display a variety of vented insert sizes and styles - logs, rocks, glass - from major manufacturers such as Kozy Heat, Heat & Glo, Quadra-Fire, White Mountain Hearth, & Napoleon.
